I am currently a stay-at-home mom of one little boy, but I will soon become a stay-at-home mom of two little boys. Before staying at home with my son, I taught middle school for seven years and while I enjoyed it, I am also loving this time I have at home with my son.
When I contemplated starting this blog, I quickly came to the realization that the Mom-Blog network is pretty well saturated, but decided that I really didn't care and started one anyway. I am still looking for just the right mixture of topics and still working on finding my voice, but I'm enjoying it every step of the way.
With a degree in Child Development, a degree in education, and a minor in English, writing about children just seemed like a natural step for me to take.
When I am not writing, you'll find me playing with my son, reading good books, working out at the gym, and daydreaming about our next vacation. (Yes, I am a traveler at heart, and if I had more time I would love to blog about any and all things travel, but currently my circumstances prevent that. Maybe when my son leaves for college!)
Hi! I just found your blog through searching online about how to get your toddler to play independently. We have a lot in common! I too taught for 7 years, now stay at home with my son, and am pregnant. My son is very clingy and I am working on getting to be more independent before baby #2 arrives! I enjoy your blog and look forward to reading more!
